Getting Started

If the preparation is done appropriately, and the teaching is followed, the results will speak for themselves. This is a personal experience, not something you read about, rather, what you realize and understand as the Journey unfolds.

There are many stages in the meditation journey.

Breath Meditation

Breath meditation is a form of meditation where we focus on our breath. This form of meditation helps us reduce the mental chatter and become calmer and still. The breath is the horse and the mind is the rider. When the horse slows down, the rider has no option but to slow down as well. Similarly, when we breath deep and long, the mind slows down and gets calmer.

This is an extremely relaxing form of meditation and hence an ideal way to begin  – learning to harness our breathing. Our next breath is the most important action for our future existence – yet we often ignore the simplicity of consciously using our breath. Breath meditation helps to be physically active, emotionally balanced and greater mental clarity.

Mantra Meditation

In the next stage or Second stage, called Mantra Meditation, we start to meditate on a set of Syllables, apart from continuing Breath Meditation. These Syllables are the Mantra !!. Mantra is energy encased in a sound structure (as in a set of Syllables).

The Mantra helps to restrict the vibrations of the mind, so that our mind doesn't wander around like a monkey. These Syllables have no meaning of any kind. If there is any meaning to the Syllables, then the mind will tag on to that meaning and produce a train of thoughts causing the mind to wander in ever widening areas. Hence there is no meaning to the Syllables or Mantra, in order to restrict the wandering of the mind.

Light And Sound Meditation

Light And Sound Meditation is the next stage of the meditation journey and the most profound and advanced form of meditation. In this stage, you will be revealed subtle tools called Light and Sound energies. It enables us to witness, and meditate on, some of the finer aspects within and take our awareness to the deeper levels of consciousness.

The Light and Sound is the first form of the Ultimate Reality or Self which has no surface, no edge or no form of any kind.

To be able to practice this type of meditation a preparation period using mantra is required, and lifestyle changes are needed.

The individual can carry on his/her normal daily routine and still find time to meditate longer. The light and sound is not created by the mind and so it is beyond the mind. This is the greatest tool a human being can ever have on earth to meditate. Handling the mind, tension, stress, worry, negativity, ego, enmity, apathy, anger, depression, etc, is just a trivial or insignificant matter, if our practice of meditation is strong enough in letting go.

Self Realization

This stage is the culmination of the spiritual journey when the individual realizes the Self which has no form of any kind and starts living truly because the word “life”- stands for Living In For Ever. The individual attains the state of great bliss. Further, the individual has an awareness to which there is no break any time. The individual is completely free to do what he/she wants to do, but it will be worthwhile to elevate fellow human beings spiritually, so that others too can reach the state of bliss.

Self Realization is also same as Lifefulness / Enlightenment/ Mukti /Nirvana / Liberation /God Realisation / Truth Realization/ Stillness/ Live in Present /Be in the now/ Live Forever/ Oneness with Ultimate Reality/True Living.

Enlightenment

The Path provides a structured approach with clear guidance, instilled valuable morals, encouraged experimentation and prioritized Self realization. Through this transformative journey, I am emerging as a new version of myself, guided by newfound insights and a sense of inner balance.

I have been always intrigued by the meaning of life and how we are different from ants and other creatures that live and pass on. I’ve always thought there is more to life than just meets the eye and that no amount of wealth or pleasure can fill the void that I felt within me. In 2017, I was introduced to Raman and breath meditation. It’s hard to find someone selfless like him and he’s always wanting to ensure that I am being helped in my spiritual journey.

Meditation has helped in many ways. I have dropped habits that didn’t serve me well. I feel like I am more calmer now and am able to pause before responding (most of the time!). There are challenges ahead in the journey, but with the entire group’s support and guidance, I look forward to progressing in the journey.
